Career Coaching Package for Career Navigation (5 hours)
This career navigation and coaching package includes all 4 previous sessions plus portfolio building your career portfolio, at a discount. It provides you with access to assessments and a customized Job-Fit report showing foundational skill strengths related to your personality and career interests. Additionally, the report highlights top fit occupations based on these traits and other criteria. After completing the assessments, you will receive 2 90-minute personalized sessions with a career navigator to explore your results and launch your search for jobs in which you will thrive.
During this session your career navigator will review:
Information and resources to guide your self-understanding related to your strengths and how those related to the world of work.
· Your career interests
· Your personality traits
· Your top fit occupations
· Tools and next steps to explore top fit occupations
After completing your orientation and self-assessment sessions, your Career Coach will schedule the following sessions aligned with the steps for career navigation.
Each session will review the activities involved in the career navigation step, overview of tools to be used and a discussion of activities completed in the last step.
The steps in career navigation and related session lengths are:
Career Exploration Coaching Sessions 2 - 90 minutes
During this session you will explore careers of interest by doing research on the O*NET. Make informed decisions based on data from the individual’s JOFI Job-Fit Report and exploring the corresponding careernavigation.org website.
Decision Making Coaching Session- 60 minutes
Based on the research completed in the exploration step, identify target jobs and validate your decision by reviewing relevant job data. You will then create and save JOFI Employability Certificates from the JOFI Career Navigation website for these target jobs.
Action Planning Coaching Session- 60 minutes
Once a job has been identified and validated, develop an Action Plan for a Career Pathway. This will include a combination of the training, education and jobs needed to build a foundation to move to the next position.
Building your Career Portfolio Coaching Session- 60 minutes
Develop your Career Portfolio including: Skills Based Resume, Cover Letter, Career Pathways MAP My Action Plan, Employability Certificate and References.
Final review of Career Portfolio Coaching Session- 30 minutes
Review your Career Portfolio and discuss next steps with your Career Coach.
